31.08.-04.09.2011: Pro K-1 & Muay Thai Camp
Backstage in Amsterdam
Amsterdam, 23.06.2007
On the 23.06.2007 again another big K1 event took place. This time the location was the famous Amsterdam Arena which is normally Ajax Amsterdam`s home.
But at this weekend the hall was fully reserved for fightsports. The K1 GP event was broadcasted live in the Netherlands TV as well as from a lot of international TV Stations into all over the world.
In the last years the K1 Community has become a large one and is permanently subject of growth. One evidence for this fact is again some thousands of supporters participating in this event. Finally the fans came from all over the world in order to see one of the most if not the most important K1 event in Europe. Nobody off them should have had a reason to be disappointed to attend.
Besides top quality superfights the winner of the integrated 8 men tournament qualified for the elimination round in September located in Korea. In Korea the 8 finalists for Tokyo in december will be determined via a 16 men tournament. Qualified for this elimination round are already the 8 finalists from 2006 Tokyo final as there are: Arrab, Bonjasky, Feitosa, Hoost, Karaev, Le Banner, Leko und Schilt. In addition to these 8 choosen ones 8 additional fighters i.e. 4 winners of diverse GPs in 2007 plus 2 heavyweight and superheavyweight champions as well as 2 from K1 selected fighters will also participate.
One of them is the K1 GP Amsterdam winner.
In order to perform well such a big event not only the preparation of a single fighter, promoter or other drivers like the management is necessary – it is more or less a cooperation i.e. teamplay between all involved parties in order to be successful.
This event was again an awesome event. It was perfect organized and performed – the dream of everybody interested in such events.
Whilst the main part of the sportspress is reporting from the action in the ring, we are focussed on the enviroment, mood and action backstage as far it was possible for us. As we have also attended the pressconference at the previous day in Clause center we had the possibility to get photos and catch impressions from this happening. Besides the action on Saturday the impressions from the previous day are also shown in our report.
The report shall reflect the 2 days around the K1 Amsterdam GP and try to offer lots of impressions to the community of K1. Enjoy it.

Time for the LockerRooms
Now it is time to visit the Lockerrooms. Let`s see whom we are going to meet here.
The end of the event
Thousands of supporters attending a sportsevent in Europe is usually only achievable at footballmatches. But the K1 GP is more or less one big exception in this range of sports.
Besides the event itself the whole infrastructure has to be well organized. The people have to have the possibility to get their cars parked or to reach the event by bus, train etc.
Food and drinks have to be offered enough for the people. All these components are important to arrange a completely successful event. On the 23.06.2006 everything was as expected perfect. Congratulation to the promoters and the whole team that was involved in presenting such an amazing event. We are looking forward to attend the next K1 GP event.
